Hi all,
We had a question recently on book shipments so we wanted to give you a quick update! Our ship left Hong Kong on July 26th with all of our Mythos Monsters, Sea Monsters, Asian Monsters, Battlemasters & Berserkers, and Pirate Campaign Compendium books and is nearing the halfway point of its journey to our local port (only about 10 miles from LG headquarters, so no worries about potential long-range rail or truck delays)! Scheduled arrival date is mid/late September, and as soon as our books arrive we'll start getting them headed out to you for all of those projects!
(BTW, we received 6 advance copies of our AsianMonsters book from the printer via airmail and sent them on to six lucky backers just as we did for Sea Monsters and Mythos Monsters. These books are all looking GREAT!)
While we wait for those books to arrive, we have just launched our latest project, the Boricubos: Latin American Monsters and Adventures Kickstarter! This project is for TWO books - the Boricubos:The Lost Isles campaign setting/player's option book and Latin American Monsters, and by popular demand we are offering versions not only for 5E but also for Pathfinder 1E and Pathfinder 2E! This project runs a full 30 days, ending Thursday, September 16!
As we did for SeaMonsters and Asian Monsters, we also have created an 11-page FREE preview PDF for you to get an early look at the amazing creatures heading your way in Latin American Monsters! You can download it right here, and by all means please share the word with any friends or fellow gamers who might be interested!
We've also got a 21-page FREE preview PDF of Boricubos: The Lost Isles, giving you a taste of what you'll find in this fantastic campaign setting supplement!
As noted above, this is going to be a classic 30-day Kickstarter, complete with stretch goals; HOWEVER, you know that Quickstarters are in our blood, and we are full speed ahead on expediting the process. The 5E and Pathfinder 1E versions of Boricubos: The Lost Isles are already complete in layout (pending additional stretch goal sections that might be added), and the 5E version of Latin American Monsters should be finished in layout by launch day! We are assembling the other versions as we go along, so that by the time we are finished with the Kickstarter you'll have PDFs available to you regardless of which version(s) you select. If we end up with more stretch goals hit than expected, we'll release a beta version with all of the completed sections, followed by the final version once stretch goals are complete, but we're so confident in the response to this project that we are already working on those stretch goals in advance so we can have things ready for you!
There's also a deluxe 5E-only Omnibus Special Edition combining both books inside a beautiful two-color foil-stamped leatherette cover!
We're already almost 450% funded in just the first few hours, with three stretch goals already complete, and we look forward to a fantastic ride creating these books for you. We hope you'll check out the Boricubos: Latin American Monsters and Adventures project with us!
Our books finally set sail this week!

Hi all,
I was waiting to send out an update until I had confirmation that our books were aboard ship and heading stateside, and they left port this week on July 26th! We had a long wait on the docks before we got our turn to get loaded. It turns out those news reports you may have heard about global shipping and logistics being snarled by COVID complications across multiple industries... yeah. Turns out that still is most definitely a thing that made the process take longer than expected, but that just meant patience for all of us and that patience has at last been rewarded!
The sailing is scheduled to arrive here in the Seattle/Tacoma area in mid/late September, and after unloading should be trucked here within a week or so of arrival. Our shipment will include all copies of Mythos Monsters, Sea Monsters, Battlemasters & Berserkers, Pirate Campaign Compendium, and - thanks to a heroic push by our printing partners - our recently completed Asian Monsters books too! We're well set up to start shipping out books within a few days of their arrival!
With the print books finally headed our way, we are gearing up for the Boricubos: Latin American Monsters and Adventures Kickstarter, scheduled to launch next week! This two-book Kickstarter features both the Boricubos: The Lost Isles campaign setting and our latest fantastic bestiary, Latin American Monsters. Unlike our recent Quick-Starters, this one *will* have stretch goals, though we fully anticipate reaching them and already have a ton of work done towards that extra content. Between the two books, we anticipate around 300 pages of incredible content, and it's going to be available not only for DnD 5E but also for Pathfinder RPG and Pathfinder Second Edition! 5E and PathfinderRPG versions of Boricubos are already complete in layout and we'll have the Pathfinder 2E version in layout by next week, along with the 5E version of LatinAmerican Monsters. We are planning to have as many versions as possible complete by the time the KS ends, so we can have immediate PDF fulfillment.

Time to celebrate, as our case of pre-press books has arrived! We are excited to get the full shipment sometime next month, but for six of you, SeaMonsters Christmas comes early!
The first three Quickstarter prepress books have arrived!
Thanks to the wonders of the backer lottery, backers Z. Erickson, S. Smith, T. Houseman, C. Close, T. Anderson, and N. Blanchard will be getting one of these early copies headed their way! Three cheers for these lucky six, and all of you can look forward to your books coming soon!
Pirate Campaign Compendium printing, and final files are up! Plus Asian Monsters ends TOMORROW NIGHT!

Hi everyone, quick update time for you!
Sea Monsters is printed and is boxed and palletized and awaiting its turn to ship! The printer is sending me six preview copies via FedEx and I'll be testing the wind and spinning the rudder of fate to see who gets these early copies! Our very first print backer will get one for sure, but other than that pray for fair winds and following seas that one of them might be sailing its way to you soon! We'll share pictures as soon as those early copies arrive!
The Pirate Campaign Compendium was finalized with the printer at the beginning of the week (we had a lot of back and forth on some things, complicated by our layout person moving during the process) and it's printing now. We also just finished the final updates to the "web" PDF (we were focused on the print files first), so that is now live and up on both DrivethruRPG and Backerkit for you to download at your leisure!
Last but not least, tomorrow is the final day of our Asian Monsters 5EQuick-Starter! It all ends at 7 PM PT/10 PM ET Friday night, with 112 fantastic pages and nearly 100 monsters from across Asia ready to drop into your D&D campaign! This is the biggest bestiary in our Legendary Monsters series so far and we hope you'll check it out and share the good word with your friends and fellow gamers who might be interested. As with all of our Quick-Starters, PDFs go out as soon as the project ends!
Quickstarter Printing Updates!

Hi all,
While we are pleased as punch to have offered instantaneous fulfillment on all of our PDFs for the three Quick-starters we've run so far this year, we also have print books on the way, and since many of you have backed more than one of them, it's time to give you a rundown of their status with the printer!
1. Mythos Monsters: It took a little longer than expected, with some back and forth after our review of the ozalids and plotters in May, but it looks like we've tracked down and fixed every last bit of page bleed, transparency, resolution artifact, and stray bit of punctuation. The final fix files went back to the printer last Friday and were signed off on Monday, so the Mythos Monsters books are at long last going to print!
2a. SeaMonsters: We had several additional review passes and are on the cusp of finalizing that book for print. Everything is final except for literally 4 pages, each with an italics error. Once the file is back from layout, it's ready for print.
2b. Sea Monsters (Pirate Campaign Compendium): This book was approved for print on 6/1, but when we did our final review of Sea Monsters, we then had to put a hold on that so we could make sure that corrections found in that book could be fixed in the big hardcover book at the same time. We also found 3 errors in the spells section, including one spell that didn't seem to be on anyone's spell lists! Fixed! Once we get that file re-export from layout, it'll be going to print as well.
3. Battlemasters & Berserkers: Ozalids and plotters were reviewed and approved May 31. Those books are now printing. Yeah, the Kickstarter book we did most recently is actually the one that got finished fastest.
Lessons learned have made us much faster, and seeing the response to the projects we've created we are no longer starting with the expectation of doing a small batch of print-on-demand books but can now plan from the get-go on doing a full print run, so we can get the logistics moving much faster. With Mythos Monsters, we weren't quite sure (heck, we even redid the cover art). Now we are.
Oh, speaking of sure, there is one more thing...
4. AsianMonsters: The first draft layout is complete and I spent most of today going through the numbers with a fine-toothed comb, tracking down some missing artwork (it's all done; just it hadn't gotten sent to layout), and
Yes, the AsianMonsters Quick-Starter is ready to launch, with 112 pages over 90 creatures from across Asia, created with the assistance of over a dozen Asian authors, artists, and consultants with roots in 8 countries to make sure this book is the very best it can be! We are prepared to launch tomorrow, though we've been working with a marketing company to assist with promotion and we might slide it back a week to maximize the effectiveness of their work with us.
We definitely encourage you to sign up to follow the page, because whether it's tomorrow or next Wednesday you're definitely going to want to check out this spectacular monster book, our biggest Quickstarter bestiary yet, locked and loaded and ready for instantaneous PDF fulfillment as soon as the campaign ends, and with a big head start on the print process! Share the good news with your friends and we hope you love this new monster book too! Follow the project at:
